Watoto Children’s Choir to perform in Celebration Hall

Wednesday, September 25 at 7:00pm

Watoto, a Christ-centered ministry in Uganda, East Africa, will present their newest album, “Better Days—There Is Hope,” performed by the children of Watoto Children’s Choir. Since 1984, in collaboration with Watoto Church in Kampala, Uganda, this ministry has served as a beacon of hope, rescuing and nurturing thousands of abandoned and orphaned children, equipping them to become Africa’s future leaders. Each child resides in a Watoto Village, a nurturing environment complete with classrooms, medical facilities, and loving homes. In each house, you’ll find a woman who has come to Watoto to be a mother to eight vulnerable children. Together they’re a family, and she’s raising them with love. These villages provide holistic care to over 3,000 children, including education and healthcare. They are given mothers to love them, food, and healthcare to strengthen them, and education to inspire them as they grow up learning their value in Christ. In short, they have everything they need to grow up and live a life of purpose.

Join us for an uplifting experience as the choir sings, dances, and shares stories of restoration and hope, spreading the message that through Jesus, better days are ahead. Admission to this concert is free and open to the public.  A free will offering will be taken during the concert for Watoto.
